The project

A reopening that puts the customer at the centre

After almost a year of renovation, BCI’s Victoire branch opens its doors again on 2 November 2026. For the occasion, New Caledonia’s leading bank wanted to put the customer at the centre of its priorities. And it starts with the customer’s journey through the branch, from arrival to the counter or their advisor’s office.

The reception system, a Qmatic Intro 17 ticket kiosk combined with digital signage screens, has been completely rethought to make branch operations smoother. It runs on Orchestra, Qmatic’s queue management platform, which VisualCom adapted to match the concerns of BCI’s customer service as closely as possible.

The Intro 17 kiosk

How does the kiosk guide the branch's customers?

From the “Bienvenue” (Welcome) screen, customers choose the reason for their visit to take a ticket:

• Arrival for an appointment: I have an appointment
• Advice desk: booking an appointment, stopping or ordering payment methods, transfers, power of attorney
• Personal customers and associations: counter transactions
• Business customers and companies: counter transactions
• Payment methods: collection of cards and chequebooks
• ATM assistance: help with the machines

Appointments

And when the customer has an appointment?

The “Arrival for an appointment” choice opens a dedicated screen that directs everyone to the right contact:

• Personal customers or associations with an appointment with a Victoire branch advisor take a ticket
• Business customers, companies or visitors expected by a head office department go straight to the head office reception, without a ticket

Digital signage

Screens to call customers and make waiting easier

• Called numbers are displayed in real time on the side of the screen, with the desk to go to
• The rest of the screen shows visuals while customers wait
• Every customer knows where they stand, without queuing on their feet in front of the counters

Accessibility

A reception designed for people with reduced mobility

Particular attention was also paid to welcoming people with reduced mobility. The priority counter has a counter top that lowers to the level of a customer in a wheelchair, so that everyone is served face to face.

This counter is marked for people with reduced mobility, hearing impairments or older people, and fitted with a hearing loop for hearing aid users.

The integration

Qmatic Orchestra, adapted to BCI's customer service

A bank branch welcomes visitors with very different needs: counter transactions, appointments with an advisor, payment methods, business customers, head office departments. VisualCom configured Orchestra and the Intro 17 kiosk to reflect this organisation: six reasons for visit on the welcome screen, a dedicated appointment screen and number calling on the branch’s screens, so that every customer immediately finds the right contact.

This project builds on VisualCom’s experience with banking, finance and insurance players in New Caledonia.

Thanks

See you on 2 November

Many thanks to BCI’s teams for their trust in this project. Customers will discover the new journey at the Victoire branch as soon as it reopens, on 2 November 2026.
