The Sublime in the Abyss…
“The Sublime in the Abyss,” the digital art exhibition by MMI students from the IUT of New Caledonia, is accessible via a 43'' Philips touchscreen installed by VisualCom at the World War II museum.
A touch interface to enrich the visitor experience
“When I contacted VisualCom, I was looking for a solution to make the artworks accessible through a touch interface; the idea was to enrich the exhibition visitor’s experience by inviting them to touch the digital artworks with their finger,” explains Stéphanie Pirounakis, an art teacher for the MMI program.
ClicAndPublish for instant display
To display the website designed by one of the students, the VisualCom team used ClicAndPublish. It launches automatically when the monitor starts up and shows the content stored on the display, avoiding the loading times that could occur if the website were hosted on an external server.
Visit the World War II museum to try the Philips touchscreen yourself and enjoy the creations of the BUT MMI students.
